BLS Healthcare Provider Renewal Course

This renewal certification course is for any healthcare professional including doctors, nurses, physician assistants, dentists, paramedics, EMTs, etc. who have a current BLS Healthcare Provider certification. Written and practical skills are required.
A copy of your current AHA Health Care Provider BLS certification card is required. Please email to tschoene@centrastate.com before day of class.
All participants must bring a current AHA 2020 Student Manual to class. Student manuals are available for purchase. Contact the Health Awareness Center at 732-308-0570, Monday-Friday 8:30 am-4:00 pm.

Go with the Flow: Tai Chi

Tai Chi originated as an ancient Chinese martial art but is best known today as a graceful moving meditation. Enjoy this low-impact activity and benefit with improved balance and well-being.
Meets on Thursdays for 10 sessions.
Heartsaver CPR with AED and First Aid Combination

Designed to meet OSHA regulations, this course covers first aid basics, consisting of the most common life-threatening emergencies, how to recognize them, call for help, and perform lifesaving skills. Learn CPR for adults, children and infants, how to help a choking victim, and how to use an AED. A great certification class for personal trainers, teachers, coaches, parents, babysitters, and anyone required to respond to emergencies and have a duty to act because of job responsibility. Students receive a 2-year certification card.
Cost includes Student Manual and a two-year AHA certification card.
Student Manual will be distributed in class or is available for pick up ahead of time. You can contact the Health Awareness Center at 732-308-0570, Monday-Friday, from 8:30 am- 4:00 pm, for pick up.

ACLS Renewal Course

The ACLS Provider Course is designed for emergency, intensive care, or critical care personnel; emergency medical providers such as physicians, nurses, EMTs, paramedics, and respiratory therapists; or other professionals who may need to respond to a cardiovascular emergency.
A copy of your current AHA BLS and ACLS certification cards is required.
All participants must bring a current AHA 2020 Student Manual to class and prerequisites must be completed prior to class. A copy of your passing results (70% or higher) must be submitted to the instructor at the beginning of class or you will be rescheduled.
Cost includes the Student Manual. The manual can be picked up at the Health Awareness Center between the hours of 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, or call for mailing arrangements. The Training Center highly suggests that the manual be picked up two weeks prior to class in order to complete the required prerequisites. Should you have any questions please feel free to contact the Health Awareness Center at 732-308-0570.
Please be advised that you are expected to know your rhythms and pharmacology.

Maternity Tour

Whether you’re a first-time mom or a seasoned pro, this is an exciting time filled with many questions and concerns. When the big day comes, you can rest assured that at CentraState you’ll be treated like a VIP—a very important parent. This in-person tour is designed to give you an overview of your stay during what will be one of the most memorable days of your life.
Adults only. Please register everyone who will be attending the tour, as attendance is limited.
