ACLS Renewal Course

The ACLS Provider Course is designed for emergency, intensive care, or critical care personnel; emergency medical providers such as physicians, nurses, EMTs, paramedics, and respiratory therapists; or other professionals who may need to respond to a cardiovascular emergency.
A copy of your current AHA BLS and ACLS certification cards is required.
All participants must bring a current AHA 2020 Student Manual to class and prerequisites must be completed prior to class. A copy of your passing results (70% or higher) must be submitted to the instructor at the beginning of class or you will be rescheduled.
Cost includes the Student Manual. The manual can be picked up at the Health Awareness Center between the hours of 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, or call for mailing arrangements. The Training Center highly suggests that the manual be picked up two weeks prior to class in order to complete the required prerequisites. Should you have any questions please feel free to contact the Health Awareness Center at 732-308-0570.
Please be advised that you are expected to know your rhythms and pharmacology.
Due to course content class will start promptly at 9:00 am. Please be on time or you will be rescheduled for another date.

Flex and Flow After Fifty

- Forever Young Stretching: Increase your flexibility, joint range of motion and overall quality of life with this seated and standing full body stretching program with guided relaxation
- Stay Strong Strengthening: A full body workout using light weights, bands and bodyweight to increase your strength and improve your balance and coordination
- Active Aerobic Adult: This class offers a variey of exercises designed to increase cardiovascular endurance, range of motion and flexibility to improve your overall health
- Steady and Safe: Improve your balance and learn about fall prevention and the importance of physical activity to enhance independence and safety with activities of daily living
Maternity Tour

Whether you’re a first-time mom or a seasoned pro, this is an exciting time filled with many questions and concerns. When the big day comes, you can rest assured that at CentraState you’ll be treated like a VIP—a very important parent. This in-person tour is designed to give you an overview of your stay during what will be one of the most memorable days of your life.

Get The Low-Down On “Down There”

Join us for refreshments and intimate conversation on all things pelvic health. Discover new solutions that free you from “enduring” pelvic health issues. Topics will include:
- What causes pain during sex?
- Learn how to do kegels and other pelvic floor strengthening exercises that can enhance intimacy, minimize incontinence and help prevent organ prolapse.
- Learn how hormone-related changes (before, during and after menopause) can magnify existing pelvic problems or even cause them.
- Q&A: Whether you ask about piddling when giggling or pain in the vulva, no topic is taboo.
Steady and Safe at Home

Many older adults worry about falling, which often leads them to activity limitations. Steady and Safe at Home is a program designed to prevent falls while promoting greater activity and confidence in your daily life.
This program provides practical strategies to improve safety in your home and community.
This is a 6-week class meeting once a week on Tuesdays. Join us and enhance your strength, balance and flexibility while having fun!
Heartsaver CPR with AED and First Aid Combination

Designed to meet OSHA regulations, this course covers first aid basics, consisting of the most common life-threatening emergencies, how to recognize them, call for help, and perform lifesaving skills. Learn CPR for adults, children and infants, how to help a choking victim, and how to use an AED. A great certification class for personal trainers, teachers, coaches, parents, babysitters, and anyone required to respond to emergencies and have a duty to act because of job responsibility. Students receive a 2-year certification card.
Cost includes Student Manual and a two-year AHA certification card.
Student Manual will be distributed in class or is available for pick up ahead of time. You can contact the Health Awareness Center at 732-308-0570, Monday-Friday, from 8:30 am- 4:00 pm, for pick up.

PALS Full/Initial Course

The PALS Provider course is designed for pediatricians, emergency physicians, family physicians, physician assistants, nurses, nurse practitioners, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare providers who initiate and direct advanced life support in pediatric emergencies.
