HEAL: Helping Everyone Adjust to Loss
The loss of a loved one can be an overwhelming experience. CentraState's grief support group, HEAL, aims to provide resources and support to help you cope and adjust to grief in a compassionate, non-judgmental space amongst people experiencing similar loss. It is open to all adults who have lost a loved one; encouraging grievers to ask for and receive support, understanding, and empathy.
The group is held in person the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month from 3pm-4pm and faciliated by licensed social workers.

ACLS Full/Initial Course
The ACLS Provider Course is designed for emergency, intensive care, or critical care personnel; emergency medical providers such as physicians, nurses, EMTs, paramedics, and respiratory therapists; or other professionals who may need to respond to a cardiovascular emergency.
A copy of your current AHA BLS certification card is required.
All participants must bring a current AHA 2020 Student Manual to class and prerequisites must be completed prior to class. A copy of your passing results (70% or higher) must be submitted to the instructor at the beginning of class or you will be rescheduled.
Cost includes the Student Manual. The manual can be picked up at the Health Awareness Center between the hours of 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, or call for mailing arrangements. The Training Center highly suggests that the manual be picked up two weeks prior to class in order to complete the required prerequisites. Please be advised that you are expected to know your rhythms and pharmacology.

Heartsaver First Aid
Designed to meet OSHA regulations, this course covers first aid basics, consisting of the most common life-threatening emergencies, how to recognize them, how to call for help, and how to perform lifesaving skills. This is a great class for anyone, especially those who have a duty to act because of job responsibility. Wear comfortable clothing.
Cost includes Student Manual and two-year AHA certification card.
Student Manual will be distributed in class or is available for pick up ahead of time. You can contact the Health Awareness Center at 732-308-0570, Monday-Friday, from 8:30 am- 4:00 pm, for pick up.

Free Seminar for Parents: What is a Sensory Diet?

Is navigating your child's emotional ups and downs challenging? Have they been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, sensory processing disorder, or general developmental delay? They may benefit from a sensory diet. Despite the name, a sensory diet has nothing to do with eating, but instead is a personalized plan that addresses each child's sensory needs in order to balance the body and promote self-regulation.
Parents are invited to this free educational session to learn more about sensory diets and how they can help children with sensory issues thrive.
